Just like our home finances, we have seen significant recent increases to the cost of operating our Municipality.  Council has been able to keep the increase to the net municipal tax levy to 6.0%, creating a residential tax bill increase for this year of 2.85% while maintaining the same level of service overall.

The Township keeps only 25 cents of every dollar that we collect in taxes.  The rest of your tax dollar goes to services provided by the County and the school boards.

Council works hard to maintain a balanced approach between our community needs, our legislated requirements, and our financial capacity.  We balance our budget to support and strengthen the community.

Our Municipality works well as a vibrant, rural community which stresses independence and a community spirit.  Thanks to our efforts as a rural community, Adjala-Tosorontio remains a vibrant place to live and I am proud to serve as your Mayor.
