DECK REQUIREMENTS

DECK REQUIREMENTS:  When submitting a building permit application for a deck, the following documentation and information is required.

• A site plan indicating setbacks to property lines and septic system and height of deck above adjacent grade
• 2 sets of structural drawings including footing and foundation detail, support post size and spacing, beam size and connection method to support posts, joist size and spacing, ledger board connection to dwelling, approved guard details.  Refer to Guide for Approved Residential Deck Construction
• Completed Building Permit Application and Authorization Form with building permit fee
