Clerk / Administration Department

 

 

The Clerk's Office is responsible for the preparation of By-laws, Resolutions, Agendas, and Minutes while overseeing the statutory obligations of the Municipal Act.

The Clerk is the Returning Officer for Municipal Elections being responsible for conducting the election, preparing for the election, preparing for and conducting recounts and maintaining peace and order in connection with the election.

The Clerk is a signing officer, in conjunction with the Mayor for all legal documents and is also the contact person for someone wishing to make a deputation to Council.
