Township Growth Management StudyThe Provincial Policy Statement (PPS) requires that a municipality determines land requirements and provide sufficient land for an appropriate range and mix of employment opportunities, housing and other land uses for a time period up to 20 years. Similarly, the County of Simcoe Official Plan indicates that exercises to identify settlements which are best suited to accommodate growth. To form part of the background research to assist with the 5 year review of the Official Plan and the location of future growth, the Growth Management Study will provide direction in determining the appropriate areas to focus growth up to the year 2026.
